Defense Verdict in Fayette County Medical Malpractice Trial

Kinkead & Stilz is pleased to announce that Melanie S. Marrs and Tonya S. Rager were successful in obtaining a Defense Verdict on behalf of a dentist in Lexington. The case involved claims that dentists overseeing a student clinic breached the standard of care, and failed to obtain the patient’s informed consent. However, Tonya and Melanie displayed to the jury in a straightforward manner that the dentists provided the correct dental care and treatment required to address the patient’s needs. Additionally, they walked the jury through each treatment option provided by the dentists before obtaining the patient’s consent. Tonya and Melanie continue to add to their legacy of successfully defending the various medical communities of the Commonwealth.
