Tonya Rager and David Trevey have had an article published by the Kentucky Defense Counsel on Digital Breakups: What Should Happen to Digital/Electronic Information When you Leave a Law Firm”. The article explores issues related to the ethics of leaving a law firm and what should happen to email, calendars, and other digital information that happens when lawyers leave firms. It also touches upon what steps a lawyer can reasonably take to distance themselves from the firm in a world where google search results can make or break a practice. The article can be found in the Fall/Winter 2017 publication of the KDC- Common Defense, linked here.
