Practical Experience

Experienced Trial Attorney. Litigated 40 trials as first or second chair in multiple courts in Kentucky and Ohio including actions involving medical negligence, construction, personal injury, and assault and attempted murder.

Defending OBGYN in medical malpractice. Successfully defended an OBGYN accused of negligence in a hysterectomy where patient sought over $9 million in damages. The case was tried over several weeks resulting in a defense verdict.

Defending surgeon in medical malpractice. Successfully defended a general surgeon accused of negligence in a port placement which resulted in a bleeding complication. Plaintiff claimed brain damage and sought over $7 million in damages. The case was tried over two weeks and resulted in a defense verdict.

Mediation Services. Obtained mediation training through the American Arbitration Association. Regularly mediate a variety of civil claims.
