I always looked up to my father, who was an attorney. I saw how much he enjoyed the practice of law and how much he cared for each case, and for each client. I wanted a career that mattered to me, so I followed in his footsteps.

Practical Experience

Advocating our city. Defended Lexington-Fayette Urban County Government and obtained a defense verdict in bench trial against cost overruns and undocumented change orders claimed by general contractor in construction of Cardinal Run Baseball Park

Business advocacy. Represented lender and successfully foreclosed on developer of $20M office building, which included a multi-day hearing to dismiss Chapter 11 Bankruptcy filing; two separate appeals; and foreclosure of all non-released liens after negotiating deed in lieu and settlement agreement.

Advocating for the university. Supervised team of associates and paralegals who condemned approximately twenty parcels of land necessary for the construction of the parking garage at the University of Kentucky, which was part of the $700,000,000.00 expansion of the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center.
